There are those who believe that life here, began out there, far across
the universe, with tribes of humans, who may have been the forefathers of
the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. Some believe that they may
yet be brothers of man, who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond
the heavens.

Anyone have a guess what that object may have been?

Since you seem to be halfway serious about this, I recommend you get a
program like Starry Night.

http://store.starrynightstore.com/cpack2006.html

Then, when you wonder what this or that star is, you'll be able to tell
exactly in seconds.

I think this would be a better $50 investment before you run out and get
a new telescope.
