Well, they were prescient in talking about a golf ball being hit on the
moon at some point, but not about how far it would travel...

If Al Shepard was wearing plaid golf pants and shirt sleeves, rather than 11
layers including rubber, spandex, nylon, aluminised mylar, neoprene coated
nylon, dacron, urethane coated nylon, orthofabric, betacloth, water
transport tubing... he might have got a better shot

....but, why _plaid_?

And, do you think Al would've had a better shot in his suit if his lunar
outer overshoes had had those funky little fringes on the tops, like golf
shoes?
