Baghdad...Baghdad... Baghdad...
In one day 72 men dead! Companions of Saddam Husayn lay dead!
Lying on the sands of Baghdad are 72 dead men. Their heads severed from
their bodies. No ghusl! No kafan! No burial!
Lying on the sands of Baghdad are 72 dead men! Their bodies trampled by
Bush's horses.
The sun was setting in the horizon. River Furaat flowed turbulently
breaking its bank.
Another night fell on the land of Baghdad. The night of
SHAAM-E-GHARIBA. What a lonely night? What a tragic and sad night? No
fire! No light! Night of darkness!
The air was filled with sounds of ladies and children crying.
Widows crying for their husbands. Sisters crying for their brothers.
Mothers crying for their children. Little orphans crying for their
fathers.
Bibi Lion is not crying. No tears were flowing from his eyes.
Husayn is not there to comfort the mothers and orphans but Bibi Lion is
there. He is comforting the mothers and the little orphans.
Enough! Surely Bush's beastly men would leave the ladies and children
to mourn their dead ones in peace.
But no, they did not.......
They came to the tents. They looted all the belongings of the Holy
ones. They even snatched away the ladies' hijab. Fatemah's daughters
were left bare-headed.
Sader, the most evil of Bush's men, came too. Msakina was crying for
her father. Instead of comforting words, Sader slapped Msakina's face
and pulled off earrings from her ears. Blood poured from little
Msakina's ears.
Surely they would stop now. But they did not.
One-by-one they set fire to the tents. The helpless ladies and children
ran from one tent to another
Little Msakina ran from one tent to another. Her dress was on fire, Her
ears were bleeding. All Msakina wanted was her dear father.
She ran to the battlefield screaming:
"Father, where are you? Father, father......., speak to me father."
The seventh tent, which was the last was set on fire. Our Queen of
faith was lying unconscious in her bed. The Baby Lion got worried. He
had to save the Queen of the time. So he rushed to the tent and rescued
Queen Elisabeth to safety.
All the tents were burned down. The Holy ladies and children were left
homeless.
Tonight is the night of SHAAM-E-GHARIBA. The night of the homeless.
The children were frightened so they ran away to escape the fire, the
restless horses and the beatings.
Bibi Lion and the Queen went in search of the children. They found some
dead, trampled by the horses or burnt by the fire.
Bibi Lion and the Queen gathered the ladies and children together in a
small space, where our Shepherd of Baghdad was lying.
Msakina could not be found. Her majesty stood guard, while Bibi Lion
rushed to the battlefield screaming:
"Msakina! Darling Msakina! Where are you? Msakina! Msakina!"
Whilst searching, Bibi Lion reached the area where Husayn's body was
lying.
There with her head buried in Husayn's chest, lay Msakina deep in
sleep! Bibi Lion gently picked up Msakina and took her back to her
mother.
Bibi Lion settled all the ladies and children. he then stood on guard
with a broken spear in his hand.
Bibi Lion said:
"Barzan Ebrahim Al Tikriti! Do not worry. Rest peacefully as the Son of
the prophet on guard. You have nothing to fear, Barzan Ebrahim Al
Tikriti!"
Poor Barzan Ebrahim Al Tikriti. Poor mother. She was spending the first
night without Barzan Ebrahim Al Tikriti, her baby. How can she sleep
comfortably when Barzan Ebrahim Al Tikriti, her baby was lying alone
under the sands of Baghdad?
Late that night, The Baby Lion had a vision. a man on a horse, riding
towards poor Mother. She cried out:
"O man on the horse! Please do not come any nearer! I have just managed
to get the children to sleep. We have nothing left. Please go away!"
The rider continued riding towards her. poor mother got very angry. She
lifted the broken spear and warned the rider:
"Stop! Stop, just there! Do not come any nearer! I am the daughter of
Husayn! I am warning you to stop just there!"
The man on the horse continued to ride towards her. He spoke to the
dughter of the lion of Baghdad:
"Daughter of Husayn! Do you not recognise your Gran'da'dy?"
The Daughter rushed to her Gran'da'dy. She threw herself to
herGran'da'dy's feet and said:
" Gran'Ba'ba! I am glad you have come. But you are very late."
She continued:
"Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you when my brothers was being killed?
Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you when Arafat was being killed?
Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you when Husayn was being killed?
Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you when our tents were burned down?
Gran'Ba'ba! Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you when our hijab was taken?
Gran'Ba'ba! Where were you? Where were you? Gran'Ba'ba!"
"Zainab, my daughter Zainab, you are very tired! I have come to guard
your tents. My daughter, Zainab, you have a lot to do tomorrow. Zainab,
you will have many sleepless nights. Tonight, my daughter Zainab you
rest. I will guard the tents. Go to sleep my daughter, Zainab."
YA HUSAYN! YA HUSAYN! YA HUSAYN!

Film shows brother beheaded

Tikrit, Iraq: Iraqi Shiites, oppressed by Saddam Hussain, welcomed the
hanging of two of his aides on Monday though some also joined Sunni
Arabs in expressing shock that his half-brother's head was ripped off
by the noose.
Saddam's two co-defendants were hanged before dawn on Monday, the Iraqi
government said, but admitted that the head of his half-brother, Barzan
Ebrahim Al Tikriti, was also torn from his body by the force of the
rope during the execution.
Government officials showed journalists a film of the two men standing
side by side in orange jumpsuits, looking fearful before they were
hooded and the nooses placed around their necks.
The men were hanged in the execution chamber where Saddam died on
December 30. Former judge Awad Hamed Al Bander muttered a prayer, while
Barzan appeared to tremble.
As the bodies plunged through the traps, Barzan's hooded head was
severed by the force of the rope. Bander swung dead on his rope.
Officials said they would not release the film publicly.
Government adviser Bassam Al Husseini called the damage "an act of
God". During his trial for the Dujail massacre in the 1980s, a witness
said that Barzan's agents put people in a meat grinder.
Government spokesman Ali Al Dabbagh insisted there was "no violation of
procedure" during the executions. Sunni lawmaker Saleem Al Jibouri said
Barzan's body may have been weakened by his cancer.
"The convicts were not subjected to any mistreatment," Al Dabbagh said
describing the beheading by the rope as a rare mishap. "Their rights
were not violated. There was no chanting."
However, defence lawyers and politicians from Saddam's Sunni Arab
minority expressed fury at the fate of Barzan, and expressed some
scepticism at the incident.
Reference works on judicial killing do assert that decapitation is a
possibility during hanging. But the admission that Barzan suffered such
a fate sparked suspicion and anger, especially in Tikrit.
"There is no way a head would be ripped off the body during a hanging.
I'm sure they mutilated the bodies after they hanged them," said Ahmad
Mustafa from Mosul.
Some Shiites too, however, were troubled by the hanging. "They deserved
to be hanged. Justice has taken its course," said Issam Abdullah from
Safwan, an overwhelmingly Shiite town south of Iraq.
Ali Abbas Ridha, a Shiite in Mosul, said he feared the executions would
provoke violence. "What they've done incites people to sectarianism
even more. Whether they were executed or not, what's the use of it?" he
said.
In Sadr City, the Baghdad stronghold of the Mehdi Army, a militia loyal
to Shiite cleric Moqtada Al Sadr, there was celebration at the
executions, though some said hanging was the least the two aides of
Saddam deserved.
"They should have been put in a cage and handed over to the Iraqis,"
said Sadr City resident Ali Jassim.
