Default Schaefer GEM Mount for sale on Astromart

Martin,

Have you tried to contact Dave? If not I can forward some stuff to him
since I see him on a regular basis.

I'm so glad I ran across your post with the link to the 'Bill
Schaefer Project'!

I was one of the first purchaser's of Bill's large mount (called the
AT-120) when he 'retired' and sold the design(s) to Richard Keenan
and Astro-Track Engineering. I got one of the first few made, when
Bill was still 'teaching' Richard how to make the mounts ... I
believe I got the next 12" they made after Tony Hallas' 12". I still
use the mount ... took it out to the field for almost 20 years in my
film days. Now I am using it from my home in Thousand Oaks, CA. If
you like, see my film/ccd web pages.

BTW, do you know of anyone that sells a drive corrector compatible
with the Schaefer mounts? I have a two axis, synchronous motors at 60
hertz, mount. No stepper or servo motors. My 'Schaefer' model 6665
Digi-Star drive corrector is not working. It was made by Dave
Radosevich in the late 1980's/early 1990's. Or is there anyone out
there that could repair such a corrector?

Anyway, thanks for the link. I have added this link from my ccd
observatory/equipment page.
