No, anything that takes people's minds off the campaign helps Kerry.
He does much better in the polls when people forget about him. His
smartest campaign strategy would be to just lay low until November,
since "an unnamed Democrat" still outpolls him (and Bush).

Moore?

No, I said an "unnamed Democrat." As soon as you name one, support
drops precipitously.

ObOscureNovelByADeadMan: A.L. Levine, selected more or less by
accident because when the Dems were hunting around for a replacement
for the replacement (who turned out to be an axe-murderer. Who knew?)
of their prefered candidate (who refused to run again) A.L. sent out
a list that was formatted thusly:

Name
Name
Name
Name
Name

A.L. Levine.

and the pollsters thought Levine was one of the names on the
poll, not a signature. The fact that he polled better than any of the
party warhorses, even in the South, took some time to be appreciated.

I'd be a bit surprised if anyone here but me and perhaps Henry has
read the book in question.
