...this is some very... imaginative... police work.
The majority of these "meteor starts fire" stories come out of the third
world. Sad to see it from Germany. I guess the police can't be expected
to know better, but the folks at Bochum Observatory should have set them
straight. While it is a virtual certainty that the fire wasn't caused by
a meteor at all, the suggestion that it was caused by an Orionid (which
is how I interpret this) is especially ludicrous.
