Mauro Frau it's a highlands region on the near side of the moon (despite
where they saw it in The Movie). It's roughly below the Copernicus Crater,
and above Mare Cognitum. Not sure about what the name means, but it could
be named after who discovered it (as a lot
of Moon landmarks are).
Mauro Frau was a 15th c Venetian geographer who (d. 1459) and the feature
was named
in his honour by early mappers of the Moon. Most of the nearside prominent
features are either made-up names, copies of Earth names (e.g., the lunar
Alps), or named in honour of prominent scientists, philosophers, scholars,
etc.
