Nonsense. Most people with experience with rockets are in private
industry (government contractors, or startups).
Yes but they are producing a product which is bought exclusively by the
Govt and Military.
That statement runs counter to reality. Do you think commercial
communication satellites count as government or military ventures? How
about XM's "Rock" and "Roll", which were built by Boeing Satellite
Services and placed in orbit by Sea Launch?
A mobile phone or computer manufacturer seels to
either the end user, or to companies that sell a product to the end
user.
And a company like INMARSAT does the same thing.
To get a LOX, Kerosine/LH engine cheaply you need to go to Russia.
That's an entirely separate subject, and deserves its own thread if you
want to pursue it.
