Default NASA reforms will never, ever succeed

"Next adminstration" assumes Kerry wins. If Bush wins reelection, I
don't see why he wouldn't continue the same policies he has now,
including WRT NASA.

Challenger came 19 years after Apollo 1; Columbia came 17 years after
Challenger. Five years is a good estimate, but history suggest a
longer gap.

.... NASA will be shut down, and
the American space effort will die an ignominous death ....


That didn't happen after Apollo 1 or Challenger. And IIRC, President
Bush' Moon/Mars initiative was his response to Columbia, to get NASA
back on track.

.... We might as well .... gut NASA ....


No one ever got anywhere by giving up.
