Apparently... yes, for the most part.

In the case of man, you can add the effects of warfare with modern
weapons of mass destruction.

There is an upside... if a few people remain extant, they will
probably have the means to use the up-to-date technology
they're left with, they'll almost surely be small in number and
have plenty of time and resources, and they'll be a little bit
wiser than we.

After all, they will have the benefit of the experience the rest
of us are causing yet will never benefit from.
