Well, I _guess_ I can understand you missing the Valery Wars (well, not
really...I guess I never will understand people who live to fuss), and
hoping to troll him back into a fight.

Well I personally learned quite a lot from those threads as it inspired me
to look into things related to optics that that I would not have otherwise
considered. On the down side it certainly showed up a bad side of human
nature. In some ways it is a shame many of those knowlegable posters don't
contribute any more.

But a reality check? Every single piece of Aries gear I've used was
top-notch. And whether you liked Valery's personality or not, you could
usually take whatever he said optics-wise to the bank.

I guess Russian gear is out of fashion now, but they did good for a
decade. ;-)
