Default The Pledge

If you were real astronomers you would have little time for group hugs
and pledges.

The pledge of an observational astronomer is to correctly plot the
positions of planets using the stellar background as a reference but
not to include the stellar background when drawing conclusions -

The pledge of a real heliocentric astronomer is to actively present the
actual motions of the forward moving Jupiter overtaking the slower
forward moving Saturn -

To account for the other feature is to present the faster moving Earth
overtaking both those outer planets. Then and only then can you ever
dare to breathe the words 'astronomer and astronomy'.

You can remain 2 dimensional quasi- geocentrists if you adhere to this
putrid mutation of the Copernican insight -

"For to the earth planetary motions appear sometimes direct, sometimes
stationary, nay, and sometimes retrograde. But from the sun they are
always seen direct,"

NEWTON

So,pledge to your heart's content but you are no astronomers until that
awful 17th century misjudgement/misconduct is corrected.
