I was at the RSCD meeting tonight, been at lest 3 months since I went.
Tonight I found out that there is almost 3,000 home lots that have the ok
or are in the first stage of being graded around the west side of Rosamond.
Plus they belive that there will be at lest 600 more per year in the way of
building permits given out. So it was good that I was able to get them to
set the types of street lights, and they even set the type of poles and how
far apart they will be. No longer a hogpoge of types of lights. At lest I
was able to get them to do that.
Good for you -- HOWEVER -- you need to watch the process very carefully.
Developers have a way of sneaking back to the local planning commission or
local city/county council/commission and amending plans.
After everything has been approved by the planning commission and by the
city/county council/commission, the developer slips back to the planning
commission staff and submits a change to the final site plan -- with "one or
two minor modifications" that "don't affect anything important." It's at
this point that a lot of mischief occurs.
