Default Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 not to be explored by CONTOUR in June

It looks like nobody remembers that the Contour spacecraft was to
explore the very comet that is now breaking up on our eyes. Its website
had been removed but I was lucky to find a mirror that still survives.
It features a splendid animation by Dan Maas as well as an initial
press briefing (video files) as well as a report on the mishap just
after launch (PDF).

Animation:

and select the size and format of your preference)

Press briefing:

Mishap report as PDF:

Initially a follow-up was planned. Any info on that, anyone?

Regards,

Karol P.
