I had a look at one in the shop yesterday, seems quite well constructed,
rubber armoured outer and the front lens is coated.
As I live in London there isn't much scope for astronomy, so it will
mostly be used for looking at boats on the river.
However I've often thought of doing a little astronomy - would this be a
good way to start?
I think it would be much wiser to put your money into a good pair of
binoculars, say from the Strathspey company, who regularly get approval
from this group. They do a pair of 15X70's for £75 that would knock the
spots off the scope you have looked at.
