Just wondering if there's a catch. ie states equatorial mount but
doesn't say eq-1 or whatever.

Would be used for planetary and a bit of deep space viewing. I did get
a Skywatcher-80 a while back, but was in such a rush that I bought the
tube without an equatorial mount as they didn't have them in stock at
the time. So I'm looking for an eq mount, and it seems you can get a
scope with an eq mount cheaper in some cases than an eq mount on its
own.

Hi Mark. I'm probably a little late responding to your question. I've recently bought an 8" F4 starlooker newt because I wanted a wide field scope. It needs collimating but seems good value for money. I've also bought a secondhand Soligor 8" F4 due to slight overactivity on Ebay. As such I will be selling the mount which is an EQ5. Are you still looking for one?
