This thing would really discourage tailgating- two of them get too close
together and both may go supercritical and melt down.
I once read a proposal to keep the highways ice free in winter by mixing
heat emitting isotopes into the asphalt. I think that lead plate on the
bottom of the car might hinder its performance though. ;-)
