Default Launchpadding one's resume

I saw that on NASAwatch. While I don't have a problem with a chap not
having a college degree, I do have a big problem with a 24 year old
appointee being the chief PAO at NASA. I think back to when I was 24,
there was no way I could handle that kind of responsibility.

I also have a problem with someone lying about his resume, as,
apparently, did NASA.

I think this really shows how important space exploration is to the
politicians. I really don't believe that this is something peculiar to
the Bush administration. What a freekin' mess!

Agreed. This was worse than the FEMA appointment, in terms of the gap
between the job responsibilities and the qualifications, but it was
far less consequential, since space isn't important.

Lying on a resume about a diploma is a bad thing. Hell, he should have
been honest about it. That having been said, there has been many a time
I have thought about fudging the truth a bit about my college degree.
Truth is, I don't have an engineering degree. I studied Mech
engineering at Maryland for awhile, got married and entered the
wonderful world of work. Had two kids( one is autistic), which gave me
no time to go back to school. It is what makes me a materials science
technician today and not an engineer. Wish I had finished way back in
1983 though.
