I can sympathize with you. My system is ****ed up too. I have spent

have persisting problems. I had that clock problem at one point to.
I've removed a lot of viruses, spyware, and malware. Some modules I
removed manually when I thought they were causing the problems, then
sometimes had to deal with the problems caused by removing something I
shouldn't have. Ad-Aware seems to be the most helpful tool in
detecting and removing stuff that's causing problems, and it's free.

You might try booting your computer in Safe-Mode, if you know how to
do
that, and then trying to set the clock.
