With all due respect to the shrinking crescent of Venus what really
happens is that the Earth's orbital orientation has changed to Venus in
their respective heliocentric orbits.
It would be really nice if there existed an astronomer among you that
recognised how the Earth's changing orbital orientation against fixed
axial orientation generated the cyclical seasonal norms here on this
planet.
Oh,I forgot, cataloguers insist on homogenising axial and orbital motion
so that the Sun can rise and set for you, constellations and especially
have the Sun bob up and down against the Equator as the geocentric
means to explain seasonal change.

The astronomical intutive atrophy, after 300 years of this
empirical/cataloguing assault, is so severe that it does not have the
competence or capacity to assign axial and orbital motions as
independent of each other even in this era where climate imbalances are
noticeable.
There is no crescent of Venus, what it actually is will eventually
give you an idea about the Earth's climate and how the planet responds
to an imbalances produced by human consumerism. The frightening thing is
that even as genuine men express concern about climate imbalance there
is nothing but mediocre hemispherical descriptions for what generates
the cyclical averages .
Have a ball with your celestial peep show and your exotic
quantum/relativistic universe, as most people are genuinely trying to
comprehend their natural surroundings in a world that is increasingly
trying to sell them something, the most valuable things cost nothing.
BTW , Owning a telescope does not make you an astronomer, amateur or
otherwise.
