Ordered an XT-12 Intelliscope today -- Orion says 5-7 days for delivery.
I'll start watching for the FedEx truck tomorrow morning.
Hi:
Count yourself very lucky. In March of 1994 I ordered one of Meade's
then new StarFinder 12.5 inch Dobsonians. It arrived the day before
Miss Dorothy and I got married, 4 SEPTEMBER. Good scope for a dobbie,
though. ;-)
Peace,

How did you and yours make it through this hurricane season?
You probably have read my posts here about our experiences. We moved to Bay
Saint Louis in January 2005 and started construction on a house in July.
Katrina changed everything -- flooded our apartment with near total loss,
destroyed the town where we were building, and destroyed everything we had
in storage. Go to
www.schlatter.org and click on the link to our Katrina
experience.
I'm buying the XT-12 to replace my XT-8 and ETX-90. My web site has a
really ugly photo of the ETX-90 lying in the mud in the apartment floor.
We moved back to East Tennessee -- likely will put the Gulf Coast lot up for
sale next summer, meanwhile, we are looking for property in western North
Carolina.
