The strike is occurring during record profits, when Boeing is best

Let's see from this years financial analysis of Boeing.

Boeing is being forced to shutdown production of some lines wiping out
a good chunk of expected profit.
Airbus has now surpassed Boeing as the number one Commercial Airliner.
Boeing is expected to continue to lose foreign aircraft orders and is
currently not favoured to win any of the current bids currently active
for aircraft purchase. Note: This may change as the US is threatening
Pakistan unless they buy boeing.
The primary profit driver has been military defense contracts, rather
than commercial activities and their profits plummeted when they lost
some of the defense business.
It received a huge tax benefit to generate the profits it did report
further increased by the sale of assets.
No revenue growth predicted and a steady decline in sales is predicted.
The future of the airlines profits dependant on whether 2 US domestic
airlines will buy from Boeing.
US analysts have the stock at a mix of hold and sell, while
International analysts have it at dump.
The company grew significantly less than the industry in operates in.
It's lagging behind all market forecasts.
And to quote a stockholder from the AGM, "what are you doing to ensure
Boeing survives as a commercial airline". The answer, a shrug of the
shoulders and a commitment to Defense contracts.

Let the GIGO cycle roll on..
