Government sponsored? Yes, I'm sure you can't conceive of the military as
socialism either. You, like many Americans, associate Communism and the
like with McCarthyism as opposed to what the hell Karl Marx was writing
about!

Explain to be how public funding is socialism and private funding isn't
capitalism. Get right down into percentages of each and where you believe
the balance is which makes one good and the other bad, etc. It will be a
good exercise for you.
