I was thinking about the various talks that I have attended over the years.
And then I got to thinking about the talks I would like to hear and started
putting together a list with some friends.

Now I thought I'd toss it out here to see what ideas you all have. So, if you
were attended a space-related function, who would you like to hear and why?
Let's keep the list constrained to those still alive (I think my list below is
consistent with this), but no speaker to small or too big!

A. Ernest Fitzgerald is a tireless fighter against waste in military
spending, whether space-related or aeronautical. Ernest is a
well-qualified engineer who is a longtime resident of McLean, VA. He
has probably made as many appearances before Congress as anyone living,
and he may still have a desk in the Pentagon.

Ironically, Richard Nixon (who authorized the space shuttle) ordered
Bob Haldeman to "fire the son-of-a-bitch" (Fitzgerald), for trying to
stop multi-billion-dollar cost overruns by Lockheed.

Ernest is the author of both The 'High Priests of Waste' and 'The
Pentagonist.' At this critical juncture in our nation's space history,
I can think of no one whom I would rather hear from the lectern.
Fitzgerald (or "Fitz," as his wife and others call him) is very
articulate and strikingly informative.
