And what about the thousands that don't want to leave, now living in
flooded toxic polluted waters with mosquito season upon them? A whole
host of diseases could spring up the likes of which never imagined in
modern times. What with floating bodies, dead or dying pets, toxic
industrial chemicals, complete flooded sewer systems, dangerous medical
waste including HIV, freely traveling snakes, possible rabid animals
including gators, a prescription for possible wide disease spreading
catastrophe. If nature hell happens it should be our job to hopefully
contain it, and protect all from its possible further deadly
consequences. In our rush to help Katrina victims we must never forget
to protect the folks they are all rushing too as well. Oh the humanity,
perhaps the death toll from contamination and spreading disease may be
greater in the coming months then initial disaster itself.

One rescue worker had the water come in contact with his arm and
sustained a chemical burn! It's really bad stuff!

Good morning Officer Double-A, and yes a most dangerous
situation for all. With New Orleans Officers killing themselves and 500
duty missing or being given vacations in Las Vegas when they were needed
the most, is sad. While serving in Vietnam 24/7 I was given 1 RR and
only after they realized they hadn't granted me one shortly near the end
of my 13 month combat tour. We never ran or abandoned our duty through
all the horrific events, the so called North Vietnamese Army TET
Offensive enemy ran but all the American front line boys never did. In
NY the boys in blue and Firemen didn't run away they ran into the heat
of 9/11 destruction. I am so proud of my elite Earth Science Team
Officers who are fearless and daring to want to potentially go where no
man has gone before. If and when the Darla Starships arrive I know I can
depend on my Science Team Crew to get the 1ST Official Contact job done.
