(I know dust-devils have been known for some time, but don't miss these
new ones, they're pretty neat. BTW, I originally thought this was too
O.T. to X-post in sci.astro.seti, but then I thought perhaps the
astrobiology folks might like to see them; they might make a good spore
propagation transport mechanism, even in such a thin atmosphere. It's
like L.A. in the "The Day After Tomorrow", but on Mars :^)

What are those numbers that appear in the lower left-hand corner of the
"movie" frames? They look like frame numbers, but they are wildly out
of order. Does that mean that the frames are shown out of order and
that, therefore, they have been selected to produce a misleading
sequence?
