Hi,

Does anyone here know of a reasonably priced supplier of diffraction
gratings suitable for webcam spectroscopy?

Cheers,

Greenwell advertised gratings recently but I find that there website
is not running at the moment [ www.greenwell.co.uk]. You may know
someone who has their latest leaflet. I think they were offering 900
lines/mm strips @£7-99.

You have got their name slightly wrong! It is actually:

URL:http://www.greenweld.co.uk/

The item is still advertised @ £7-99. Ref:OPF002

" Transmission diffraction grating (900 lines per mm) transparent film.
The high line density produces a wide coloured spectrum of the
observed or projected light source similar to a prism.
Make a hand spectroscope.

Size 15.2 x 3.8cm sufficient for four 35mm slideholders which can
easily be made from the cardboard box.
Larger size available on request."

The previous item is OPF001 which is linear polarising film. Comes
in 100mm x 50mm which will make two 50mm sq pieces

Type 'grating' into their Search box and the page that comes up has
a number of interesting optical 'supplies' on it.
