It was after reading about John Dobson when I lived in Waianae, Hi.
that got me to start doing Sidewalk Astronomy.

I don't remember the one, but it was about him and his upcoming
birthday and I got the OK to set up my scope as a daytime display in a
local shopping center and had info sheets about him and the scope
itself. Then as darkness came close, I moved from the display area to
the parking lot and gave views of the moon then.


Interesting. I will have an oportunity to meet John Dobson in a couple of
weeks. He is visiting 'down under' and will be calling in on our local
astronomical society. I will report on the event.
