And the Governor was alternating Democrat and Republican for a long,
long time. GWB was the first Governor reelected to a second term in a
long time.
Ditto Senators. In fact, one of the reasons postulated for the
shutdown of the Superconducting Super Collider project was when Texas
sent a Republican Senator to the Senate to replace a Democrat (leaving
Texas with two Republican Senators). Democrats (who controlled things
at the time) decided to 'punish' Texas for that.
Ditto the House. The Speaker of the House used to be a Democrat from
Fort Worth.
Eric claims to be from Texas. Eric is exceedingly ignorant about
things he ought to know.
