"The entire concept of "Strings" fascinates me. The more I learn
about this theory the more curious I become."

Great!.

"If in fact this radical
theory proves to be correct, the 'big bang' theory becomes an event
that is a common occurrence."

Common? in what sense? We have only witnesses 1 of these events in the
13.7 Billion years of our universes' existence!

"If this is true what implications does it
have for man and our sense of reality?"

Not much on a practical scale, emensely upon our understanding of how
our universe works on all scales.

"Perhaps the great distances of
the cosmos are but micro measurements in a colossal system of some
sort. Time when measured in human terms may be an insignificant measure

when compared to whatever or whoever this system really is."

While I agree with the general sentiment of this sentance, the word
'distance' and the word 'time' are not right, because time and the
dimensions of space were created within the BB and do not (necessarily)
exist outside of our universe.

"Perhaps we
were never meant to find answers to questions that are beyond the scope

of our understanding."

Then why do we have brains big enough to figgure this stuff out?
