Keep telling yourself, "it's just a cycle, a normal, unremarkable
cycle..."

What can you do eh? We keep asking the 5% of the worlds population
that do most of the polluting to join the rest of us in cutting back
but they just won't. They say "we don't have to and you can't make
us".
