AND you're dealing with a
bunch of Republican congressmen who keep threatening to shut down the
government unless you balance the budget, you'd probably cut the Shuttle
budget some, as well...


No, I would have cancelled the International Space Station instead, or
deferred it another 10 years.

There's a stronger case for fully funding the shuttle to continue doing
its job, than for building the ISS at all.
