I can't imagine this being a satellite or components thereof. There's almost
no evidence of heating, and the impact speed should have been high enough to
both crush and bury it a lot more.

Knowing what it's not, of course, doesn't tell you what it is. Those
cylinders do look like actuators of some sort. It's not obvious (to me,
anyway) whether the tubing and connectors are for hydraulic fluid or for
compressed air. The idea of a balloon-borne instrument capsule comes to mind
for some reason, but that's just one possibility among many at this point.
I'll be very interested in finding out what the answer turns out to be.
