You can't expect a correction the next day: when they correct a
mistake, they will want to take the time to make sure that the
correction is correct. I'm sure they'll publish one in a few days.

I was wondering if anyone familiar with equatorial
view of the heavens could mentally or actually
reduce the trace lines to endpoints and identify
the stars/ 'meteors' in the image. It would give
added bite to the correction.
BTW I've not bothered informing the Grauniad.
