Thanks for the help to all. I think I just need to go have a look at
this thing in person. It's about 70 miles away and I was just trying to
get an idea of what it was before commiting to the trip. It comes with
HM20mm, SR4mm, and HM6mm lens, a Barlow, and sun filter as well. He's
asking $200 but is open to trades for other items. I really wanted a
goto scope but I think this will get me started since it has setting
circles.
Thats a good idea about asking if the upper end is open. I asked him
many times where the ep was and he finally said on the end and not on
the side although I still wonder if I made myself clear. This is why I
figured it was a refractor and not a reflector.
Swift was the only maker I could find that had a model 859 although
it's an 859D and is a dobs.
