The ATSA is available at Walmart (as are all Telestar models)...is this
possible a made-for-Walmart line...what's missing?

Few of us here are familar with the Meade/Telestar level of scope. While these
scopes can be useable, I think the general consensus is that there are better
values and better ways to spend ones money.

IMHO a good scope starts with a solid mount, decent optics, decent eyepieces
and a good finder.

The DS series of scope trade these off for a rather unreliable GOTO system, not
a good trade IMHO.

I suggest looking at what www.oriontel.comn has to offer.
