In the time it took the Red Sox to win *one*, the Yankees have won
twenty-six.

The Yankees did some impressive things this year. For example, no other major
league baseball team has ever managed to lose a 7 game series when they were up
3-0. That in itself is quite remarkable.

I'm a fan of many professional and collegiate sports, but this series
generated the same level of personal enthusiasm as watching the junior
badminton championships or the senior pro-bowling tour.

If I were a Yankee fan, I would probably have felt the same way. They really
took it in the shorts. But for the rest of the country, I think it was pretty
impressive watching the BoSox. Heck, even my wife watched the Sox nail the
Yankees and then the Cardinals and that's a first for her.
