If you were to believe some people, every time the United States uses weapons in the Middle East, only innocent women, children
and the elderly die - a particularly ironic complaint coming from people who often have no problem with targeting civilians
themselves. I can't recall the last time anyone there admitted that combatants were among the casualties.

The New Jersey did succeed in destroying the Syrian AA capabilities in Lebanon. Another bombardment killed the general in command
of the Syrian forces and several of his senior officers.


Yes, but, in all fairness, one of the 9/11 planes hit the *Pentagon.*
That means not all of the terrorists' casualties were civilian, ei-
ther. So I guess that justifies it...


BTW, that was a joke, meant to satirize your reply. I don't know how
much collateral damage the New Jersey cost and how justified and well-
planned her attacks were. But you did accidentally shoot down an Ira-
nian passenger plane once. Now imagine what kind of retaliation you'd
impose on Iran if roles had been reversed and they had killed a plane
load of Americans. But that way around it's just: "Whoops! Sorry!"
