My PST, ordered January: paid for March; arrived today. So the Sun

This is going to bring a lot of joy - as well as (please, pretty
please) a magnificent view of Venus. Am I ever a happy bunny.
Excellent - talk about in the nick of time! How *good* is the view?
I know it's going to be subjective to describe it but... Is the
contrast good? Can you get a picture?
Martin,
You lucky, lucky b*******! I was fortunate enough to have a quick squint
through one of these some time ago and remember how clear the view was. I
managed to point my digital camera into the eyepiece and (surprisingly) got
a couple of pics (

and

rather washed out but you can still see prominences and spots.
Happy observing - but I hate to think what the we*ther gods will make of
this latest acquisition....
