I do suppose though if you can have Japanology and Koreanology as studies of
Japanese and Korean culture respectively, you could theoretically also have
Qatarology, Walesology and Yemenology?

My (ancient) dictionary didn't have them in, but I think some of the
other k*-logy's did look OK.

I did find serendipitously in the same section "kakistocracy" which is a
perfect handle for the current US Bush administration ;-)

There is also "scientology", the study of L Ron Hubbard's bank account.
