It is obvious that MER-A has triggered some form of interplanetary defense
mechanism that is now blasting Mars (and Earth) with X-Rays and energized
proton matter fields. Earth is mostly protected by our strong magnetic
field (Van Allen Belt), Mars does not have a similar field and unprotected
objects such as MER will be fried under such intense radiation.

Go read spaceweather pal and you'll see that another blast is scheduled to
hit Mars shortly after MER-B is scheduled to impact. They are in deep ****.
