Hi Kevin Here in Florida the capital for lightning I use my
computer(webtv) from 7am till 7pm mostly for business and posting "what
if" When my web gets hit,and goes out,and I get it back it always asks
me the same question "Did I Move" I just hope those space probes going
to Mars are not short circuit out there in that cold no shielding medium
of space. Kevin the nice thing about being in a space ship going through
space on a long trip it gives you a chance.to think. Still its a good
idea to talk Sharon Stone to come along for the ride. Bert

LOL, does your wife know about these Sharon Stone thoughts?.
I usualy leave my computer on all the time except when I go out or
go to bed. Considering micro chips are in almost everything these days
I dont know why my TV and other electrical equipment seem imune to
thunderstorms. After maybe the third modem failed to work after a
storm I contacted the phone people but they assured me there is nothing
wrong with the phone line. I contacted the electric people on the off
chance they might have a sugestion, they didnt. I guess I have just been
unlucky. Even people I have spoken to about this in the area who also have
computers have not had the problems with storms that I seem to have.

Just in case someone up there has it in for me I have now become very
wary of thunderstorms. I was reassured somewhat after reading an account
of a woman who has now been struck by ligthening three times and is still
alive. Shaken but alive!, the bookmakers wont accept anymore bets on her
being struck a fourth time..
