Guys, please tell me it was overcast in Portsmouth last night .....
this was about the ONE night that I wasnt scanning the sky with my new
binoculars as I thought we had too much cloud. I didn't even look out of the
window when I went to bed. I didn't even check the space weather websites
last night (I usually do this each time I put the computer on).........
I saw the aurora in 1999 from Portsmouth, and it sounds like the one last
night was much bigger ..............
Grrrrrr ! :-)
Well I saw it in Selsey and Lilian saw it in Southampton so... lie
mode Almost certainly clouded out in Portsmouth /lie mode.
In Portsmouth it was raining and cloudy all night but I did see what I
thought was a slightly greeish tint to the clouds at about 2000 hours,
but it might have been my imagination. Waited up in case it cleared
and fell asleep on the settee about 2200; woke at 0100ish today, quick
look, less clouds but no aurora visible.
