Dr. Steven Beckwith, Director of the Space Telescope Science
Institute, uses a Mac. http://www.annapolisappleslice.com/who.html

From that page:

# But the Mac’s Market Share is so Small -- Apple could go out of
# business. The Apple Macintosh share of the worldwide personal computer
# market is greater than the combined share of BMW, Cadillac, Infiniti,
# Lexus, and Merecedes Benz in the worldwide automobile market. Yes,
# Yugos outsell BMWs.

You've used the BMW/Apple market share analogy repeatedly, but frankly,
I think that is bogus. In the computer industry, market share is
EVERYTHING. Imagine if each make of car had to use its own particular
type of fuel (software). Supplying/building gas stations would then
be a problem for BMW and such cars would not be viable. Apple has
proven that it can sustain its small market share, which is a fantastic
achievement, considering all the other computer companies that have
fallen by the wayside. I'm therefore puzzled as to why you feel you
have to resort to such ****-poor analogies.

# "When I learned to use [my new computer] and found out what Microsoft
# Windows does best, I felt like I had paid $700.00 for a deck of cards."
# - Windows user, quoted by an Information Technology (IT) manager.

LOL! Which version of Windows does this mystery user refer to? If it
was Win95/98/ME, it's not relevant any more, since those are obsolete
versions. I'm sure you would think it was unfair if someone said the
Mac was crash-prone based on a quote about OS 9. In any case, do you
have a reference for that quote? How about even just a name for the
IT manager?! Come on, I'm sure you could come up with a better quote;
Microsoft has had plenty of bad press over the years.

"When I learned to use [my new computer] and found out what Macintosh
does best, I felt like I had paid $2000.00 for a fancy paperweight."
- Macintosh user, quoted by an Information Technology (IT) Manager.

See? Pretty meaningless without any names or attributions, huh?

How about:
"I think Microsoft make outstanding applications. But my biggest problem
with Microsoft is that their Operating Systems, just, well... suck."
- Linus Torvalds, creater of Linux, speaking on 'Connect' TV series, 08/99.
