Default Jupiter 21/22 April 2004

Hi Carlos
I'm sorry for late answer.

What I meant is that the size of the scope puts a limit in the
amount of detail that you can get at a given magnification (or
equivalently, the highest magnification that you can get for
a given level of detail/sharpness)

The shots you took are about 5 times larger than the ones I
have (from Jupiter, that is), and they're infinitely richer
in detail and sharper; such level of detail, I associate
with a 10 or 12 inches scope, that's why it surprised me
so much that you could get it with a 7-inch scope!

I think , is better a small optical but very well worked than a bad large
diameter,
also the obstruction is very important.
On my 7"inch the obstruction is under 20%

Obviously, I was kidding when I said I was depressed -- your
skills and expertise are clearly very high, so that gives me
the hope that there is so much more that I can learn and so
much room for improvement!
Some day, some day!!

I'm sure of it ! ;-))

Thanks again for sharing these amazing images with us!!

Cheers,

Many thanks to you for your comment
