Just shows the continuing value of those missions decades ago.

A good point in the article, the Moon may also have resources enough
to part build the base, rockets and equipment too - rather than
launching up heavy stuff from Earth's big gravity well all the time.
The Moon, having at least some gravity is likely to be a healthier
place for humans to 'work in space' for long periods too. Also, with
practically no atmosphere (the occasional molecule aside!) it would
make a great site for an observatory.

It's not about what Bush says though, it'll take an international
effort (I hope) to get the best into it, and so get the best out of
it.
