Default Awesome Night

Starlord-
Just read your report for the night of the 8th. Great report. I managed
to get out Sunday night, the 7th, and while I only had the guy across the
street & his kid join me, it was much the same. "Wow!" by a youngster makes
it all worthwhile.
I had pretty good luck with the planets (although Venus in the 'scope is
just like Venus by the Mark10 eyeball, only more so), and managed (I
thought) to see not only the North & South Equatorial Bands on Jupiter, but
also some more slight features in both hemispheres.
Saturn was a joy, as always, & we were thinking we were seeing at least
three moons (to the NW, if I remember correctly).
As usual, the moon left me wishing I knew the topography better. Well, one
more thing to study up on.

Take care of both you & the Beast. Oh, & remember, he was a "jarhead."

At this time my scope ( Babylon 8 ) is a F8 8inch Dob, but before it
was built, I used for 4 years a Stargazer Steve 4.25in F9 Dob and it
gave very good views too.

What is your equipment? I've got a 4 inch and its not very good,

most of
what i see (other than i can see Saturns rings) is white circles

about the
size of pencil erasers, or a little smaller.
