We've heard of the new 20" Dall-Kirkham scope and just browsing
through Anacortes I note Celestron also has a new Nexstar 102 GT, 4
inch f/5 goto refractor.
SO why is it that we learn about these new scopes on other web sites
rather from Celestron's own web page? Are they just too slack to
update their site?
Or do they want to see what interest it generates before announcing on
their page?
If Celestron wishes to continue to be competitive with Meade, I think
they should also release their own ED refractor range. But I note
that Meade hasnt updated their ED range with the newer LX200GPS
drives.
Since Orion's success with their new 80mm ED refractor, I think an
LX200 or Nexstar version would be successful also. However, the scope
should also be useable whether powered up or not.
Mario.
