What comes with Meade ETX60 scope?
Given your preferences, I would think a C-5 on an alt-az mount with focal
reducer would be your choice as a travel scope.
Hi Jon:
It probably would...the C5 is one of THE sweetest scopes made...except....
--The C5 and accessories start to take up quite a bit of space in the trunk.
--To be honest, I don't worry about leaving the 60 sitting in a motel room. I
_would_ worry a lot about leaving a C5 or NS5 by itself.
The ETX 60 does quite well in regards to what we use a travel scope
for--informal looks at the sky from the beach, etc.
As far as optical quality...I am beginning to think that the 60s may have been
somewhat better in general than the 70s.
Peace,
