FIRST NATIVE AMERICAN SPACEWALKER SPEAKS AT SPECIAL PROGRAM
NASA astronaut Commander John B. Herrington will address
employees and guests of the U.S. Department of Agriculture
(USDA) on Thursday, November 13, 2003 from 10 to 11 a.m. EST
in the Jefferson Auditorium, 1400 Independence Ave., SW,
Washington.
Commander Herrington will share his experiences as the first
Native American to walk in space during the mission of the
Space Shuttle Endeavour, which launched Nov. 23, 2002. The
program will include remarks from USDA Deputy Secretary Jim
Moseley and a musical performance from "Casper," a Native
American musical group.
